MND NSW provides a range of assistance to people living with MND and their families. Every dollar you raise ensures that we can get equipment to those who need it, and can support and assist them at every step of their MND journey.

What We Do

MND NSW provides information, support and education about motor neurone disease for people living with motor neurone disease, their families, friends and carers.

MND Info Line

Do you have a question about motor neurone disease? Have you just found out that a family member, friend or colleague has motor neurone disease and you want more information? Are you thinking about attending a motor neurone disease information session but want to find out more before you make the decision about going?

The MND Info Line telephone service is available for questions from anyone who needs to know more about motor neurone disease. You can phone the MND Info Line to speak to a member of the MND Support Service Team.

MND Advisor

MND NSW Advisors assist people with motor neurone disease connect to the services they need. MND Advisors also offer ongoing information to families and service providers as questions arise or needs change. They can advise about how you can access Government support for you.

Equipment - FlexEquip

People with motor neurone disease often require special equipment to continue living at home. One of the major roles of MND NSW is to help people with motor neurone disease get access to equipment, as soon as the need for equipment arises.

Coordination of Support

Coordination of Support is a service of MND NSW provided to NDIS participants to assist them with the implementation of their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan.

Education and information sessions

Are you newly diagnosed with motor neurone disease? Caring for someone with MND? Would you like to ask an expert panel your questions about MND? MND NSW conducts regular education and information sessions for people living with motor neurone disease, family members, carers and friends.

Support groups and coffee mornings

MND support groups and coffee mornings provide the opportunity for people living with motor neurone disease to meet together regularly to chat and learn from each other.

Carer support

Services offered by MND NSW to people living with motor neurone disease are not only available to the person who has been diagnosed with MND, but also to family members or friends who are caring for them. Our Carer Program provides education for carers to help them better understand MND and the supports available to them.
