Why I'm Taking Part
I’m braving the cold and taking on the Ice Bucket Challenge in honour of my mum, who had Motor Neurone Disease.
MND is a devastating illness that slowly robs people of their ability to move, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. Watching someone you love go through that is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
Right now, over 500 people in NSW are living with MND, and many of them require high levels of care and support every single day. Ten years after the Ice Bucket Challenge first went viral, raising global awareness for MND/ALS, there’s still no cure. The fight is far from over.
That’s why this challenge means so much to me. I’m raising funds to support MND NSW, who help people living with MND and their families through equipment loans, support groups, education, and more. These services are a lifeline and I want to make sure no family has to face this disease alone.
For every $100 raised, I’ll dump another bucket of ice water over my head.
Yes, I’ll freeze for a good cause. Every dollar brings us closer to supporting those who need it most.
Click the ‘DONATE NOW’ button to make a donation and support people living with MND. Every contribution helps and together, we can make a difference.
