MILES FOR MND: ONE LAST RIDE

In June 2026, Bob and Tom are cycling all the way from Broome to Bowral in aid of MND NSW.

Every day two Australians are diagnosed with motor neurone disease. There is currently no cure.

Support us and help raise funds so MND NSW can continue to be there for people living with motor neurone disease at every stage of their MND journey.

Why Bob is Riding

This ride from Broome to Bowral isn’t about distance.

It’s about time.

Motor Neurone Disease has no cure.

The average life expectancy after diagnosis is just 27 months.

That’s why Bob — and his grandson Tom — are riding.

For over 40 years, MND NSW has supported people living with MND across NSW, the ACT and the Northern Territory.

Words from the CEO Graham Opie shared on 18 November 2025:
